Ever wonder what someone does with a lot of cash?

The fan that caught Barry Bonds' record-breaking 756th home run ball last year told reporters it was the equivalent of a grand slam for him.

Matt Murphy is the lucky New Yorker, and he used the $752,000 for the following:

Moved into a new apartment, invested in the stock market, and went into the specialty sneaker business with two friends, who opened a store in Manhattan.

The 22-year-old Murphy sold the ball thru auction, to fashion designer Mark Ecko, who then let "fans" decide what to be done with it. That ended up being a branded asterisk on the ball (since Bonds was suspected of being on the "juice"). The ball now sits, against Bonds wishes, in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

And, here's how cool Murphy is. He didn't just buy himself cool stuff. He split the proceeds with the friend that attended the game with him in San Francisco, on August 7th.
